The primary objective of the project is to create a Tourist Park and development of a Business use on the remaining parcel of land on the south-west corner of the Princes Highway and Phillips Lane. Flooding and the discharge of stormwater was recognised as a constraint to future development throughout this general area, however the Bairnsdale East Drainage Strategy has been prepared to resolve drainage issues.
The site is proposed for commercial development and would be subject to a limited range of uses intended to compliment the proposed Dahlsens site
The proposed facility provides an opportunity to address the lack of high quality tourist accomodation facilities in Bairnsdale to meet emerging needs
An opportunity to create a landscaped entry to Bairnsdale and a planned process of development that provides certainty for the precinct
The site area is 2.4 hectares
