Fonterra is one of the leading dairy co-operatives in the world. The Darnum plant processes over 2.6 million litres of milk daily from farms throughtout Gippsland.
The plant produces a range of nutritional powders and whole3, skim and fat-filled milk powders for the domestic and international export markets.
Fonterra supports over 120 jobs directly at Darnum and around 600 in the wider economy.
The milk Fonterra collect from their farmers is made into the many Fonterra dairy foods that generations of Australians have grown up with and love, including Perfect Italiano™, Mainland™, Western Star™, and Bega™.
