Australian Paper is a wholly owned subsidiary of Paper Australia Pty Ltd, which is the national operating affiliate of publicly listed Nippon Paper Group; a leading paper products company. The company was incorporated in 1998 and its head office is based in Melbourne, Victoria. It predominantly specialises in manufacturing paper at its two mills Maryvale, Victoria and Shoalhaven, New South Wales.
Australian Papers product is distributed around the country and internationally. It supplies more than 500,000 tonnes of product each year. Australian Paper produces more than 2,000 grades of paper with products, including (but not limited to) office and domestic paper, watermark papers, packaging papers, bag papers, recycled paper and coated publishing paper. Australian Paper has a significant market share of the Australian paper market, including a 40% stake in the office paper market and 55% of the domestic paper market.
